Transient: full algebraic and monadic composability in the presence of multithreading, events, and distributed computing

A careful selection of monadic effects and primitives, using some new techniques for expressing continuations and moving closures among nodes could achieve full composability and scalability for heterogeneous, distributed haskell programs, as well as events, parallelism, streaming and concurrency (And Web programming too).
